Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

This Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”) forms an integral part of the Terms of Service provided by HostWP.io (“HostWP.io”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) to our valued clients (“Customer”, “you”, or “your”).

We know that handling client data securely and respecting privacy is super important—especially under GDPR. This page outlines how we handle, process, and protect personal data on your behalf when you use our managed hosting services.

1. Roles of the Parties

• The Customer as Controller: For any personal data stored or processed via your hosting account or websites on HostWP.io, you act as the Data Controller.
• HostWP.io as Processor: HostWP.io acts as a Data Processor, processing personal data only on your documented instructions and to provide you with our managed hosting services.

2. Our Infrastructure & Sub-processors

To deliver fast, reliable, and secure hosting, we utilize enterprise-grade infrastructure and trusted data center environments located around the globe.

• Regional Data Governance: HostWP.io provides global services with data centers in multiple regions. For example, if you opt for our EU hosting service, your data and infrastructure will reside within the European Union and adhere strictly to EU data protection policies. If you opt for our US hosting service, it follows regional US policies, and so on based on your chosen location.
• We ensure that all underlying infrastructure partners and sub-processors adhere to strict data protection standards, confidentiality, and high-level security measures.
• We remain fully responsible to you for the performance of our sub-processors’ obligations.

3. Security Measures

We take data security seriously and implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your websites and data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or accidental destruction. These measures include server-level firewalls, secure object caching, regular system updates, and strict access controls.

4. International Data Transfers

Whenever personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure that appropriate legal safeguards—such as approved Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms—are strictly maintained across our secure infrastructure and vendor networks to keep your data fully protected.

5. Assistance and Data Deletion

• Data Deletion: As noted in our Terms of Service, if you wish to request the permanent deletion of your data or account information, you can reach out to us at [email protected], and we will securely wipe it from our live and backup systems.
• Assistance: We are always happy to reasonably assist you in responding to requests from data subjects (your end-users) exercising their GDPR rights.

6. Agreement Acceptance

By signing up for, accessing, or continuing to use HostWP.io services, you acknowledge and agree that this DPA is automatically incorporated into your service contract with us, with no separate paperwork required.
