All your email inboxes are backed up automatically on HostWP.io through a premium service called JetBackup 5.
JetBackup 5 is included with all HostWP.io plans, so you don’t have to pay anything extra to back up your websites and emails on an off-site cloud server.
By default, HostWP.io creates hourly incremental backups of emails for 48 hours, which are stored daily on an off-site server for 90 days. You can download or restore these backups anytime you need to.
Follow the steps below to learn how to access backups on HostWP.io, how to download and restore them.
How to Restore Email Account from a Backup
Step 1: Accessing JetBackup 5 on HostWP
- Log in to your HostWP.io account.
- Click on “Log in to cPanel”.
- Navigate to JetBackup 5 under the “Files” section
- Open JetBackup 5 in cPanel.
- Choose the backup type “Email to select a Email backup you wish to restore.
- Select the date after clicking “Choose Other Backup” and then click Restore.
- A pop-up with the Restore Summary option will appear for a final confirmation. Click “Restore Selected Items” to proceed.
- You will be redirected to “Queue,” and here you can see the progress of the restoration process.
After completion, you will see “Completed” under the status column. This means your emails have been successfully restored to the backup you selected.
How to Download Emails Account from a Backup
YouOur customers can download backups of yourtheir emails hosted on our servers anytime without any restrictions. Follow the steps below to learn how to download email backups.
1. Accessing JetBackup 5 on HostWP.io
- Log in to your HostWP.io account.
- Click on “Log in to cPanel”.
- Navigate to JetBackup 5 under the “Files” section
- Open JetBackup 5 in cPanel.
- Choose “Email accounts” in order to access Emails backup
- Select the date after clicking “Choose Other Backup” and then click Download.
- A pop-up with the Download Summary option will appear for a final confirmation. Click “Download Selected Items” to proceed.
You will be redirected to “Queue,” and you can see the progress of the download process here.
Once complete, the status will show ‘Completed,’ Then go to downloads and your email accounts backup will begin download to your computer.
